Movie Posters
As a project, I chose to do movie posters because I had a good idea of what I was going to do for the project. I already thought of some of the images I was going to use for each poster. I started with The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger because it was the most recent book I read. I chose a rye field because of Holden's dream to be a catcher in the rye, a person who saves children from going through adulthood as well as the quote from the novel and a baseball mitt to symbolize Holden's dead younger brother, Allie.
The next poster I started on was The Crucible because it was what my mind had drifted to right after finishing The Catcher in the Rye by Arthur Miller. I found a picture of people who were hanged. I chose that picture because the people who were hanged were people who were accused of witchcraft but would not admit to it and I also chose the picture of a bible to show how religious the play is. I chose the quote because it was what many people were facing, the accusations of witchcraft.
The last poster I did was one for Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and I chose a picture of a raft in a river to symbolize the Mississippi River in which Huckleberry Finn and Jim float down in their raft throughout the novel. I chose the quote to show the importance of their friendship, where Jim exclaims to Huck that he is the best friend he has ever had and the only friend he has now.
